I think it’s safe to say, this is the best $20 I’ve ever spent.

We’re about a week away from the official start of summer and I’m already thinking about how to stay relaxed during the hot summer months. Hop on over to my review blog for ideas on how to stay relaxed and also a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card!

We’ve lived in our house for 2.5 months and I realized this weekend that I’ve not taken a single picture since we’ve moved in. Let’s remedy that, shall we?

The sunroom is my most favorite room in the house. It’s where I sit with my coffee on Sunday mornings with the newspaper. It’s where I read my mail. And, most importantly, it’s where I spy on  my vampire neighbors. More on them at a later date.

I got these leaning bookcases (and wine rack) at Crate and Barrel. Really, you can buy these almost anywhere, but I like the style at Crate and Barrel the best. It should be noted that you really shouldn’t keep wine in a sunroom because you know, HEAT, so mainly we just put the crap we buy at Trader Joe’s in here. The real wine is downstairs. The bookshelves are filled with our favorite cookbooks (we probably have 200 cookbooks between the two of us, yikes!) and little knick-knacks that we like. As you can see, this photo was taken on a LOVELY Portland day. We got the chairs and ottomans at World Market. They’re really quite comfortable. The little lamp table was my Grandma’s. I’d like to replace the shade, but I’ve not found anything I like yet. The little plant stand was also my Grandma’s. Those suckers are made of marble and may or may not have left a HUGE DENT in the hardwood floor after being knocked over.

The dining room is pretty close to being done, so maybe I’ll show you photos of that next. If you can tell me where to get a table runner for a 96 inch dining room table.
