Time Flies
In the past month I’ve…
- Entered the 6th month of my pregnancy. And, started looking REALLY pregnant.
- Brought a crib and changing table into my house. (It is so weird to walk by that room and see baby furniture in there)
- Traveled to Costa Rica for a lovely vacation with Bill. WHICH WAS NOT A BABYMOON, KERRI ANNE.
- Taken my first and last trip to Babies R Us. (seriously, that store is terrible)
- Planned my ONE-YEAR wedding anniversary. (so crazy)
- Been invited to speak at a conference in San Francisco. (creepy, but am so excited)
- Started planning my husband and his twin’s 40th Birthday Extravaganza!
- Been counting down to BlogHer and my San Diego mini-vacation with my bestie Ashleigh.
- And, begun realizing how damn unprepared we are to have a baby in 3 months.
So, what have you been up to?

I can’t believe you’ve been married almost a year!
Also, I didn’t know you were going to BlogHer! HAVE FUN!
26. July - 6:05 amA) Napa, yay!
26. July - 7:01 amB) Have we discussed how much I loathe the term babymoon? It’s disgusting.
C) I’m still unprepared to have a baby and I have a baby. Eh.
Okay, we NEED to hang out. I need to see all of your cute baby stuff! Your pinboard for the nursery is so adorable, I can only imagine.
26. July - 8:43 amBefore Rhys was born I used to walk into his room every morning just to stare at the crib and changing table. It is SO strange!
Babies R Us is, in fact, the ninth ring of hell. Please meet: http://www.diapers.com
Don’t worry about being unprepared . . . you’re in for some really killer nesting hormones and related superhuman energy. You’ll be fine!
26. July - 12:19 pmBABY MOON, BABY MOON, BABY MOOOOOOON.
Also: You look amazing.
Also: SO excited for showering you with Cute Baby Things.
Also: AIR RIGHTS.
26. July - 1:03 pmYou look wonderful! Enjoy those “obviously pregnant” months – it’s when total strangers start opening doors & generally being helpful, as well as pestering you about what you’re naming baby, what college he/she plans to attend, etc.
Babies R Us is the devil. Try a Buy Buy Baby (Bed Bath & Beyond’s baby chain) if you have one nearby. I also do the Amazon Mom program for some staples like diapers & have had a good experience w/ that.
It is weird walking by a nursery, until that one day when you can’t imagine it looking any differently. It will happen. What never happens is feeling like you’re 100% ready for baby to arrive, but you’ll do wonderfully.
27. July - 5:27 ammost adorable pregnant person ever. love.
27. July - 9:38 amYou’re a hottie. Seriously. Hot. Momma.
