The nursery is done! Well, as done as it’s going to be before the baby arrives.
There are two things I really hate when it comes to children’s rooms: super over-done rooms that end up not looking like a child’s room at all and overly “themed” rooms. I tried my hardest to avoid both while decorating the nursery and I think we ended up with a really cute place for our little guy or gal. There are a couple things to do still – the window treatment is on order, I’d like to recover the ottoman and I have the supplies to make this once the baby arrives, which will hang above the daybed.
Anyway, please enjoy these poorly lit photos (the walls are grey, I promise). At 39 weeks, 5 days pregnant I wasn’t in the mood to go hunting for a camera cord.

Favorite things:
Charleston Rocker from Pottery Barn Kids – I love this rocker because you can buy stationary feet for it when your baby is all grown up.
Subliminal Baby Letterpress Art from Sycamore Street Press
Doggy and Kitty Pillow that my Great Grandma Edna made me when I was a little girl.
Elephant Lamp from World Market
Flensted Elephant Mobile
Oregon Pillow from Love California (ironic, I know)
Alphabet Canvas from J.Hill Design
Giraffe Nightlight (not pictured) from Jonathan Adler (via Auntie Ashleigh)
Bath Baskets from Anthropologie (mini, short and tall)
Other details:
Carpet Tiles – FLOR
Bookshelf and Picture Ledges IKEA
Crib and Changer – DaVinci Emily (do your research on cribs, friends. There’s really no reason to spend a ton on a crib. The book Baby Bargains helped me sort out all the brands and find a great and quite inexpensive set)
Daybed – The Foundary
Wall Baskets (for diapers and blankies) – Pottery Barn Kids
