This is a paid review for BlogHer Book Club but the opinions expressed are my own.
I was really excited to find that I was picked for this round of BlogHer Book Club because this book pairs so well with my last book club book, Daring Greatly. This month’s book is My Life Map: A Journal to Help You Shape Your Future by Kate and David Marshall. The authors believe that life isn’t so much about finding yourself as about CREATING for yourself.
The book contains several questionnaires that you can fill in (oh man, I love filling things out) to create a map for yourself. One of my favorite sections of the book is the Subject Maps chapter. This is where you create a plan for what you want various areas of your life to look like in the next 10 years. There are warm-up questions for each section such as “Describe a new friend that you hope to make in the next few years. How will you two meet?”
I think this book would be a great holiday gift for a new college graduate or anyone in your life who is at a turning point. Maybe even paired with a copy of Daring Greatly?
