BlogHer Book Club: Here I Go Again
This is a paid review for BlogHer Book Club but the opinions expressed are my own.
Oh, I am excited by this book club selection. Though I am a big fan of this author, I’ve not read anything by her in quite a while. This book was a perfect way to jump back into her work.
Here I Go Again is Jen Lancaster’s newest novel. It’s about a thirty-something named Lissy Ryder who was the girl everyone loved to hate in high school. After finding herself single and living in her childhood bedroom, Lissy learns a pretty big lesson about karma. Lucky for her, she has a unique chance to right some of her wrongs and is able to learn how she treated people has affected them.
This book had me snickering at times and cringing at others (Teenage Lissy is pretty terrible). It would definitely be a great vacation read or just a great way to escape the day-to-day.
P.S. I desperately wish this book came with a soundtrack. Whitesnake anyone?
