Please Don’t Laugh…

But, I really think I might be going through premature menopause. Seriously. I have been so moody lately (stop laughing), and have had a ton of trouble sleeping, and a lot of other things are wacky. But, the clincher is, I have seriously been having these hot flashes every night. Also, I am waking up sopping wet from sweating.

I started thinking the moodiness was because my Effexor isn’t working. And, I truly do want to get off of it, but now with the other stuff, I don’t know. I am going to call my doctor first thing in the morning. I know I should have done this before, but, I am a procrastinator.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

CSI is weirding me out. First, Grissom and Sara, now this whole Catherine mess? Doing her own rape kit, then her daughter getting kidnapped. I say, bring back Nick’s pseudo-mustache and get it over with.

Other TV show thoughts – Kidnapped is freaking awesome! Not sure about Brothers and Sisters yet, I’ll pass judgement after one more episode.

Hmmm, oh, Project Runway – Will DIE a painful death if Michael does not win. Will die and even more painful death if Jeffrey wins. That’s all.

Oh, and yes, tomorrow is supposed to be my flight to Hawaii, but it is not. Poo Poo on that. And, yes, I am being mature. Instead, I will plant Tulip bulbs, go to the library, and have Happy Hour with Carrie somewhere. Then, this weekend, Zane and I will spend the $100 Gift Card we got to Crate and Barrel for our housewarming from Ashleigh. Hurray! First, we thought we’d get something big, like a bar type thingy to store wine in. But, now I think we’ll get a bunch of little stuff.

I really don’t want to go to bed with my hair wet, but I think I’ll take a cold shower and see how that feels.

Happiness is being an adult with braces…

Sheesh. So much going on.

First of all, my Fantastic Hawaii Vacation has been cancelled. That’s right. CANCELLED. Icky icky poo is what that is. Zane’s working some large deal at work and so he has to be in town.

Hopefully we’ll be able to make up for it with a trip to Cancun in November or so.

Last Saturday was our Housewarming Party – my official photographer has not sent the pictures yet, but hopefully there are some good ones. It was really fun, and we got some awesome gifts. I always feel like such a bad hostess, I don’t feel like I talked to everyone for long enough, but word is, everyone had a great time.

And, Zane’s mom was here all last week – she’s delightful and we had a great time antiquing and shopping, etc. But, it’s hard to have houseguests for that long. Especially because I was hardcore PMSing.

I have a job interview tomorrow – and I really hope that this one pans out. It’s really hard to not have anywhere to go during the day, or an actual job to do. I’ve got the Pampered Chef thing on the side, but I think that’s more for fun than an actual career. There is no way possible I can make what I used to make. And, I just feel like being out of the house on a regular basis will improve the relationship of Zane and I. Fingers Crossed!

And, now, after this measly post, I am getting a glass of wine. Cause, damnit! I had my braces adjusted today and they HURT! Only 6 more months of this.

I bleed green…

HOLY SHIT!!!

Did you know my Oregon Ducks beat Oklahoma yesterday? What an amazing game. Now, I wish I could post photos but, I am far too hungover to do so. Too much tailgating yesterday. Time for my nap.

I Love Love Love the Ducks!!! YAY!!

P.S. I love the ducks!

Miscellany

Did you know that I am going to Hawaii! Yes! I am! In 3 weeks. So, Zane will be working there for the week, and I will be tagging along. I cashed in 65,000 Alaska Miles for a First Class Ticket on American. My favorite thing about that is that most of my air miles were earned while working – so it really basically is a free ticket!

Also, I am the proud owner of this . Our house has Central Vacuum, but after trying it out, we decided it really didn’t work that well. And, Chanel told me that her neighbors house burned down a few years back, and the culprit in starting the fire was their ancient central vac system. So, I am pleased with the purchase. It works like a champ and the hose is super long, which is helpful in getting up my stairs.

This past weekend was very much fun – while recovering from a nasty kidney infection! Anyway, we headed to Eugene bright and early on Saturday morning to cheer on my alma mater (is there feminine version of this? I thought there was) the Oregon Ducks. They killed Stanford, which was delightful. It was a great start to the season! I can’t wait for what is hopefully a winning season for my Duckies. And, there are only a few oboxious folks near our seats this year – we’ll see how it pans out. Let the drunkenness begin! Side note – our seats are near the Student Section, which of course, is where I used to sit as a student (duh) and man, are they nuts! Kids these days!

After the game, we hurried home to have a “Yay! Kathina’s Here” dinner at Meriwether’s. Zane had Mushroom Struedel, which was absolutely delightful, but very high in fat I am sure. I was still stuffed from beer and crap at the game, so I had cocktails and a yummy Caprese salad.

Sunday was uneventful, except for the Dyson Purchase! Also, we bought a gas BBQ finally – we’ve had a itty bitty Smoky Joe forever, and it’s really not the type of bbq you want when entertaining.

But! Monday was very fun. I hosted my very first barbecue at our new house! Unfortunately, Zane had an early flight to Vegas as he worked there on Tuesday. But, in honor of Kathina, I invited a bunch of friends over and we had a great time. Flickr pictures here.

So, that’s that. Nothing new on the job front, I have an in person interview next week that will hopefully pan out. It just seems that there aren’t any jobs out there for someone with my experience. They are either director level jobs, or entry level jobs. Nothing for someone like me! UGH!!
