NaBloPoMo has tempted me! And, I am in!!
So, last night, my car was broken into. The rear passenger window was broken. I noticed this a.m. when taking one of London’s icky diapers outside. At first glance, nothing was stolen. But, later, knowing that Gena had told me to keep the diaper bag overnight, because she didn’t need it, I went out to check. (Um, sorry, HUGE RUNON!) Anyway, the fucking diaper bag was not in there. Thieves stole a DIAPER BAG. So, I called my insurance to turn in the glass break and when I told her what was stolen, she freaking laughed out loud.
Anyway, thank you dumb criminals in Portland. I only wish I would have left some nasty diapers in there for you. Enjoy the Size 2 Huggies, Gerber Squash and almost gone tube of Little Teethers.
What is the proper way to eat string cheese?
Is it A) To pull strings of cheese off and put them in your mouth?
Or B) To shove said string cheese up against your top teeth and then pull said string cheese down?
Just wondering, cause I just witnessed the most grotesque string cheese eating technique from my beloved. This may be a deal breaker people.
This weekend FLEW by. I hate it. But, nonetheless, it was nice. On Friday, we went to the Home and Garden Show. How’s that for a Friday night? There wasn’t much there, except some adorable kittens that I really wanted to adopt. Also, a little tiny hot tub that you can put on your patio just for your feet!
So, after getting all inspired at the home show, I woke up Saturday morning and pruned my hydrangeas! They NEEDED it bad – most all the blooms were dead. Now, I am kicking myself for not taking a before picture. I’ll have an after picture for you later – but London is asleep in the Guest Room and that is where my camera is. Don’t wake a sleeping baby! (Which reminds me, for one month, I am watching my friend Gena’s baby girl, London, while they are in between child care peeps.)
Saturday night was a martini party at the house of some friends. Carrie decided to have a pre-funk at her house, so I made a delicious! Rustic Vegetable Lasagna and we headed over there. The rest of the evening is quite a fog, but Key Lime Martinis with Graham Cracker crumbs on the rim of the glass are delish. So there. I do know that I broke my martini glass (it was actually mine, we had to bring our own) and Zane put me in the car and we came home. But, it was fun and nice to get all dressed up fancy like. Again, photos to follow when the baby wakes up.
So, Sunday NOT in good shape. I came downstairs at 6:30 and looked out the window to see the trunk of my car wide ass open. Weird, anyway, I decided I was way too tired to go all the way upstairs after closing the trunk, so I intended to lay in the guest bed for a minute and ended up sleeping there until 3:30.
Anyway, life is SO uneventful and I hate it. Why oh why won’t anyone hire me? Just wondering.
I am participating in a book swap with Carrisa so that will be fun.
