Day 30 – Finis!

Wow, I made it all the way through the whole 30 days. I didn’t cover a lot of the topics I wanted to, and I didn’t finish a lot of the projects I wanted to give updates on, but I can say that I have really enjoyed the last 30 days.

If you’re curious – here’s where I got on my knitting: 1 shoulder blanket completed and 1 shawl completed. I’d post photos, but my camera is broken. I need to get motivated to leave the house and take it to Best Buy. But, that would require that I dry my hair and put shoes on, and that is just a wee bit ambitious for me. I’d rather stay home, knit, and watch Woody Allen movies. Which, is precisely what I am doing. Today’s Selection: Annie Hall. There’s a very young Christopher Walken in this movie, and I adore him. Also, Diane Keaton reminds me almost exactly like my Auntie Wendy, and I adore her.

Back to my knitting, this whole having a job thing is really going to get in the way of it!

Day 29.2 – OK, I get it

I get that this guy on Oprah is a doctor. Dr. Oz to be exact, but why the hell does he have to wear scrubs. Is it not effective enough to be in plain clothes. Also, he’s not wearing socks. Hope Oprah’s studio floor is clean.

Day 29 – Bored to Tears

It’s freezing here. Our heater sucks. Tonight is the Holiday Shopping Crave Party that Ashleigh and I have had tickets to for a while, but she may not be able to make it. BOOO.

And, I am bored, bored, bored. What’s a girl to do?

Oh, P.S. – Once Zane mentioned to me that he didn’t have his high school yearbooks anymore, so I’ve spent my morning trying to figure out how I can find them. You would think schools would print extra, wouldn’t you? Or, is that just my wishful thinking? I thought this would be an awesome Christmas Gift, or at least a birthday gift for his big 4-0 that is coming up.

Day 28 – Let It Snow!!

This morning was a delight as I woke up to some snow on the ground! It had snowed a bit here yesterday, but never ended up sticking. Zane and I built a fire and had some wine to celebrate my job (yay!!) and looked out at the snow falling.

Anyway, about my job! I start next week and will be doing online type marketing for a large company with an office here in Portland. I am SO excited as you can imagine. It’s exactly what I was hoping to do, and I get to focus on my favorite parts of marketing. Also, I didn’t have to take a pay cut, like I was fearing I would. Another plus – I will be working in downtown Portland again, so it’s very convenient.

Because it is sooooo cold tonight, we’re having soup and grilled cheese for dinner. I am going to make Chicken and Orzo Soup – a Pampered Chef recipe. So, I am off to do that!!

Day 27 – Gainfully Employed

I’ll post more later, but, you’ll never guess what.

I GOT A JOB!!!!
