The tv, it has sucked me in. I watched way too much this week. But, do you know what I was not doing? I was not out spending money or pining over former boyfriends of mine who have been holding Ballet Season Tickets over my head as a torture technique. But, that is neither here nor there, so more about that another time.
I should also note, if you haven’t watched all your shows yet, stop reading
Let’s jump right in, shall we?
The Bachelor – ABC has proclaimed this bachelor, “The Sexiest Bachelor Ever.” I disagree, in fact, I find him to be the biggest tool ever. Even bigger than Andy, and that’s a hard one to beat.
The Big Bang Theory – Dumb, dumb, dumb. Too much self deprecating nerd humor. Now, I love the nerd humor. But, this one will not be watched again.
Cane – Hmmmm, still on the fence. I’ll give it another episode, or I may just watch the whole season because Jimmy Smits is in it. I can do that.
CSI – Snooze City. Seriously, I could really give two shits about Sara being rescued. They should Warrick or Nick be kidnapped instead, if they wanted me to care. See, I loved it when Nick was in the box with the fire ants. That was riveting.
Private Practice – Loved. But, did not care for Addison’s dance number in the opening. Apparently, Whoorl didn’t care for that either, so much so that she turned the show off, according to her tweet. Also, I will watch anything with Amy Brenneman in it. I still mourn the loss of Judging Amy.
Dirty, Sexy, Money – Oh my. This may be my new favorite. I’m going to go ahead and overlook that Dakota Fanning’s little sister is in it. Hopefully she won’t get much airtime. Do you know who I do like? Matt the Attorney from 90210. Oh, I’ve missed him.
And, lastly, my beloved Grey’s – Loved it, but need a bit more of an explanation re: Burke. But, I think that Mama Burke will clear that all up for us next episode. I am glad that George proclaimed his love to Izzie, but do you maybe see something with him and Meredith’s sister going on? I think I am on to something here.
Still on my DVR: Big Shots and Bionic Woman.
Still waiting for: Las Vegas, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters
There’s been a lot of flickr related stuff going on lately with the stealing of photos of several bloggers’ children – and I think we’re all a LOT disgusted with it. But, I was very disgusted this a.m. to log in to flickr to find several disgusting comments on my photos. I’ve had people with braces (on teeth) fetishes favorite my photos before, and I also think people with feet fetishes (fetishi? what’s the word?) favorite my photos, but I just blocked them and moved right along.
P.S. Guess Rhiannon’s new favorite root word? Could it be DISGUST?
ANYWAY, people are grotesque, thus, I have made all my photos private. So, if you are a reader, please comment on this post and leave your flickr id, so I can mark you as a friend. If you don’t have a flickr account, they are free, and if you don’t want to sign up for one, most of my pictures are just of the following:
- Rhiannon looking super pale
- My cat looking super obese (fine, unless you have a fat cat fetish, you can see them)
- And random thinks I knit (oh heck, you can see these too)
Sure, there’s the occasional picture of IRA GLASS TICKETS!!! Or, even little ponies tied to Portland sidewalks. And, once, I took a photo of a local delicacy , but I am generous, so I’ll go ahead and leave those gems public. But, pale Rhi, and her hijinx, OFF LIMITS.
And, in other news. I signed up to do NaBloPoMo again. Clearly, I am nuts, but are you?. Can you believe it’s been a year? And, also, please visit my new favorite website, Overheard in PDX.
I have a blog? What? When did this come to pass?
Things at Chez Rhiannon have been busy, to say the least. There are jobs to be worked, and hours to be slept. I’ve been doing a lot of both.
But, I’ve also been attending 10 Year Reunions and CRAZY Bunco nights.
There’s been shopping and also knitting.
I was really looking forward to things slowing down a bit, but, what did I do? I volunteered myself to work in the Donations Booth at our local LIVESTRONG event this Saturday at guess what time? 5:45 a.m. That’s right, I am nuts. Completely nuts. But, its a good opportunity to meet some people, and also, it’s nice. So, there.
So, hopefully things will be back to normal soon, and also hopefully I’ll have a new iBook soon so I can resume posting regularly. Because, my 2001 iMac? Not the speediest.
/most boring blog post ever.
P.S. You may have noticed a template change – I started using BlogHer Ads, and I just couldn’t make my pretty Zoot template work with the ads. So, we’ll live with this for a while. Hopefully in the future, I’ll move on to WordPress and also my own domain. Wheeeee!!!
People, I’m exhausted, and busy. But, all in a good way.
Let’s review -
- The most marvelous thing happened on Friday. I got my car back!! It’s true. So, my cd changer doesn’t work, but I am going to go ahead and let that slide for a few days. Because, I WILL NOT let my precious baby go, at least for a while.
- My two weeks on the bus riding to and fro work were nothing if not entertaining. To wit: each day I passed the following – the church my parents were married in, which is now a Korean Church, which for some reason gives me a chuckle, and a sign reading “Taxidermy”. Also, on my very last bus ride to the VW dealership to pick up my sweet baby, there was a rather large man playing air guitar. I am so easily entertained.
-Exciting things I have done in my car this weekend – ran various errands that I haven’t been able to do in 14 years: Post Office, Goodwill, Recycling. Again, I’m easily entertained.
-And, lastly, people. Driving to my friend Carrie’s house last night, Step by Step by the New Kids on the Block came on XM Radio. This good luck song enabled me to win both a game of darts (new favorite thing ever) and also a game of shuffleboard(2nd new fave).
