OH MY GOSH. In exactly one week, I’ll be wrapping up a presentation at work and heading to the airport to leave for BlogHer. I’m in total disbelief that I’ll be meeting so many of my friends inside the computer for the VERY FIRST TIME. Also, I’m thrilled that some of my pretty Portland girls will be there too. You may see me clinging to Kerri Anne’s arm, or following Chantel around like a lost little puppy.
Things you should know before meeting me:
- I often look like I am deep in thought. I am not. Feel free to interrupt me.
- I spill stuff. A lot.
- If you need any of the following, I have them ALL in my purse: Bandaids, Tums, Anacin, GasX, Anti-Nausea, Anti-Anxiety (never mind, I need all of those for myself), Tide to Go Stick, Shout Wipes, Facial Blotters, Cuticle Scissors, Nail Clippers, Floss, and probably a coupon for toothpaste.
- Mainly for Carly, I’m going to try not to leave my shoes all over the hotel room, but it’s bound to happen. So, um, watch your step.
- I can’t eat when I’m nervous. PLEASE MAKE SURE I EAT SOMETHING. I threw up at my college graduation for this very reason.
- I really am a nice girl, but I’m shy. So, it may take me a minute to talk to you. Unless there is a white wine spritzer in my hand. Then I will talk your leg off. You’re allowed to tell me to shut up.
Now, I’m off to diagram my wardrobe for the weekend. Chances are? I’ll be wearing a lot of pink. You’ve been warned.

I LOVED this list. This is that time of year when I get all super jealous of all my favorite bloggers getting together and doing super fun blog things together. NEXT YEAR I swear I will be going.

Well you’ll be easy to spot in pink then! :-) I have already started mapping out multiple outfit choices. I hope my airline doesn’t charge for checking bags.
I’m making note to encourage you to eat so that you don’t throw up. Though that’d be blog post worthy! Ok, no. Let’s avoid the puking.

Girl I leave my shoes everywhere too. Good thing we wear different sizes so they won’t get mixed up. I’m also hoping that the airline doesn’t charge for bags. I’m going to try my hardest to get everything in one suitcase on the way there. That includes stashing a large bag inside the suitcase to bring home all the swag in. That’s why I’m going to have to practice pack this weekend. And if it goes well then I won’t even unpack it. I’ll just look like crap for the three days leading up to thursday.

Oh, wait wrong season, you’d think I’d remember that since its 105 outside. But, on the other hand, that’s how I feel.

Man, I’m starting to get SO jealous of all that are going to BlogHer. I mean, I think I’d probably get kicked OUT for even attempting to attend (“Who the hell ARE you? Only bloggers are allowed! Oh. You’re a blogger? Never heard of ya.”) but it’d be fun to ogle all my favs and giggle behind my hands (“OMG, did you just see who walked by?? Squeee!!!”) like a total 5th grader. So I will be living vicariously through you and you simply MUST remember every detail and share it with me.
Of course, this’ll probably be the only time BlogHer is anywhere NEAR me (even though it’s still about 900 miles away) so the likelihood of me ever attending is pretty slim. Dang.

I know! I can’t believe it is around the corner! I know I’m going to end up staying up until 3 the night before STRESSING about what to pack!
I will have none of those things on me. But I do spill ocassionally and I also talk way too much when I’m drinking. Behind the ficus.
