I’m TOTALLY copying Jenny on this one, but she totally has it coming, as she once wrote a post WITH THE EXACT SAME TITLE as a post I once wrote. So, she has it coming, right?
Now, please note: If you a are a friend or relative of mine ACT SURPRISED WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR GIFT, OKAY?
Thing #1: Prints from Cathy Nichols’ Etsy Shop. This one above is titled “Together You Are Less Lonely” and I purchased it for my Aunt Wendy. I also may have employed the “One for You, One for Me” technique for this purchase. I thought this would be a lovely and meaningful gift for my favorite aunt.
Thing #2: Vino Carafe and Wine Glasses at Crate and Barrel. You can buy a set of four glasses and the carafe for just $16.95. That is a bargain. I have only refrained from buying this set for myself because my birthday is in two days.
Thing #3: Le Creuset Petite Casserole Dishes. I love these little fruit casserole dishes. And, at $25, they are a darling and inexpensive gift.
Thing #4: J.Crew Glittens. So shocking, the J.Crew website is down, so I cannot link. I am pretty sure they are $25. I am absolutely positive that they are darling. UPDATED! Link! And, they have been marked down to $15.00
Thing #5: Personalized Ramona Books. I pretty much wanted to be Ramona when I was a little girl, so I was thrilled to find these books. I’m getting one for my best friend’s little girl, and maybe one for Auntie Rhi.
Thing #6: Lastly, the gift for everyone on your list. I’m ordering ten. You’re welcome.
Now that I’ve done all that work for you, please give me some ideas for the boy.

I don’t know whether or not I am scared of that tissue box cover or sort of in love with it. (Also: I am LOVING Cathy Nichols’ shop right now. We have the vino glasses from C/B and one big pro is that you often “over pour” which is okay in my book.

I had no idea you could personalize books. What a super fabulous idea.
(You could also get The Boy a personalized copy of the Karma Sutra. No?)

I work in a high school and have proudly (!?!) displayed my Tissue Man (a gift from my parents) on my desk for at least 5 years. I still get a comment on him every….single…day. He made the yearbook – a truly prestigious honor. My favorite comment was from a parent who truly believed I worshiped him like a god. I’ve considered switching out the white tissues for green. ‘Tis the season.
BTW – I do have a gift suggestion a zillion times better than Tissue Man. Google the Peter Petrie Egg Separator……
